We have about 50 full time and seasonal team members who all support each other, work together to complete each project, and help the garden center and supply yard flourish. Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Landscape Laborer and play a vital role in transforming outdoor spaces into beautiful, functional environments. This energetic position involves assisting with a variety of landscape and construction projects, utilizing hand tools, power tools, and machinery to deliver high-quality results. Whether it’s maintaining lawns, planting trees, or installing hardscape features, you’ll be at the forefront of creating inviting landscapes that inspire and delight. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in horticulture, landscape maintenance, and construction while contributing to vibrant outdoor environments.
Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as, trimming, pruning, and planting to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor spaces
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and snow plows safely and efficiently
- Support hardscape projects by preparing sites, laying pavers or stonework, and installing features such as patios or walkways
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and planting to maintain safety and aesthetics
- Support seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or gardening to keep landscapes pristine year-round
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various landscaping equipment and hand tools
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance, or gardening is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with landscape construction techniques including hardscape installation is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in horticulture and landscape maintenance
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting heavy materials for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license is a must; willingness to learn about equipment operation such as excavators or irrigation systems
