Country Farms is family-owned garden center, supply yard, and landscape/hardscape installer. We have been in business for over 40 years. We employ over 50 full time and seasonal team members who all support each other, work together to complete each project and help the garden center and supply yard flourish. As our Hardscape Foreman you will:
• Responsible for leading and managing 1-2 laborers to complete outdoor hardscape projects
• Scope of projects can include paving stone patios/walkways/driveways, natural stone, concrete, sitting walls, retaining walls, firepits, outdoor fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, and other outdoor living areas.
• Study and understand project drawings and specifications, review plans with supervisor when needed
• Plan and organize ensuring that materials are available to complete job
• Communicate with customers to ensure a smooth installation and to retain/build strong relationships
• Work with sales and management staff to maintain efficiency and quality of project installation
• Report on project status, concerns, and recommendations with supervisor
• Complete project paperwork or digital entry to track job materials and labor hours daily
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including job sites, vehicles, and equipment
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
At least (3) years hardscape installation experience is preferred or applicable real world work experience
If you have limited experience but have a willingness to learn, we will strive to provide you with the experience you need
Must have valid PA driver’s license with medical card to drive vehicle 26,000 lbs or under
Ability to tow and use equipment such as skid loader, mini excavator, tiller, edger, chain saw, weed whacker, muck truck, power tools, hand tools, etc.
Communication and problem solving skills
Self-disciplined
Work Environment:
Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs
Will be exposed to various weather conditions
Physical demands – will require stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting
